How will I know if I’ve been accepted to the school of choice?

• Acceptance letters will be sent via email. If the interest in a program exceeds the number of seats designated for choice for a campus, a waitlist will be created.

• Elementary - Students/Parents will be notified via email 

• Middle School - Students/Parents will be notified via email 

• High School - Students/Parents will be notified via email 

What if I didn't receive an email or text notification regarding my student's status?

• Everyone will receive a results notification from SchoolMint. If you did not receive a text or email, please check your SPAM folder and log in to your SchoolMint account first, then contact 817-245-1000 for assistance.

*Due to recent carrier changes, we recommend that parents set up their SchoolMint account to receive text and email notifications. 

How can I see my student's waitlist number? What if I didn't receive an email or text notification regarding my student's status?

• You can access your student's waitlist number by logging into your SchoolMint account. This is the account you created when you accessed BurlesonISD.SchoolMint.net.

How can I get technical assistance with an application?

• For BISD Tech Support, call 817-245-1011. Assistance is available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Game Development Design School (GDDS) is a school of choice for grades 6-12 that gears learning towards the highest level of rigor in coding and game programming. Computer science is our emphasis, and students in GDDS engage in a variety of classes which become more focused on coding and game programming as students move into the high school grades.

Burleson Collegiate High School is a partnership between BISD and Hill College. Rigorous high school and college courses will be taught by high school teachers and Hill College instructors. Students follow a grade-specific course crosswalk to obtain all high school graduation credits while meeting associate degree requirements. 

BCHS does not offer extracurriclar activities or fine arts due to the specific crosswalk agreed upon between BCHS and Hill College.

Burleson Collegiate High School offers students the opportunity to earn their Associate of Liberal Arts degree from Hill College (up to 60 college credit hours) while earning their high school diploma, at no cost to students.

Students complete 4 years of high school and 2 years of college simultaneously.

This program enables students to develop technical skills while earning college creditials and degrees to pursue in-demand career paths.

What Should We Expect If We Are Accepted into BCHS?

Any 8th-grader within the Burleson Independent School District boundary.

Out-of-District Applicants: 8th-graders and families who understand they will need to move within the Burleson ISD boundary and show proof of residency by July.

Taylor Elementary is home to approximately 500 students in grades PreK through 5th. Taylor is the district bilingual campus for elementary students who qualify for enrollment in a bilingual program.
