Transportation (Bus) Discipline
GoldStar Transit - Discipline
Should a student’s behavior require more than verbal communication from the driver, the following formal corrective action procedures will be used:
If a student is caught fighting or brings a weapon on the bus, an immediate loss of bus privileges will be issued, parents/guardians contacted, and district notified.
No ineligible or guest riders are allowed. If a guest or ineligible rider is discovered, the parents/guardians will be notified and corrective action will be taken.
The purpose of these procedures is to provide fair warning and, in some cases, the opportunity to correct behavior rather than punish. However, misconduct will be punished in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct; the privilege to ride in a school bus, may be suspended or revoked.
Neither Burleson ISD, the bus driver, nor GoldStar Transit is responsible for lost or left behind articles. Everyone who is eligible for bus service has the right to have a safe ride to and from school. Please be courteous to the driver and other riders. If a problem does arise, please feel free to call GoldStar Transit at 817-245-1180.

Transportation (Bus) Rules
GoldStar Transit - Bus Rules
The district makes school bus transportation available to all students living two or more miles from school. This service is provided at no cost to students.
Bus routes and stops will be designated annually, and any subsequent changes will be posted at the school. For the safety of the operator of the vehicle and all passengers, students must board buses only at authorized stops, and drivers must unload passengers only at authorized stops.
A parent may also designate a child-care facility or grandparent’s residence as the regular pickup and drop-off location for his or her child. The designated facility or residence must be on an approved stop on an approved route. For information on bus routes and stops or to designate an alternate pickup or drop-off location, you may contact GoldStar Transit at 817-245-1180.
See the Student Code of Conduct for provisions regarding transportation to the DAEP.
Students are expected to assist district staff in ensuring that buses remain in good condition and that transportation is provided safely. GoldStar Transit is authorized by Burleson ISD to handle any disciplinary issues that may occur while students are using this service.

SafeStop Moabile App
SafeStop Is Available For Your School!
SafeStop is the mobile app that connects parents to the vehicles transporting their children.
Why Register For SafeStop?
This FREE, mobile app allows you to monitor the status of your child’s school bus in real-time. You’ll never have to guess where the bus is or when it is arriving at your stop. The app updates every 30 seconds to provide you with up-to-date information so you can plan through your busy day and make sure you are there when your child gets on and off the bus.
Available Features:
- A real-time map to locate your child’s bus
- Estimated arrival times for the bus at your stop
- An Alerts & Messaging area letting you know of any updates or changes to service
- A secure registration process that ensures only parents and school officials gain access to this information
How To Sign Up:
Registered student riders can securely register at www.SafeStopApp.com by looking up BISD using your zip code.
In order to register successfully, you must enter each of your Student’s IDs correctly. You can enter multiple student IDs on the second page of the registration process if you have children riding vehicles. If you do not know your student’s ID number, you can get it through Family Access or by contacting your school campus directly.
If you believe you entered your student’s ID correctly but receive an error message, you’ll be prompted to complete an information form, and Safestop will work with your school’s administration to confirm the ID and have your access approved.
Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email with download information for SafeStop.
Please note that for the first few weeks of service, only the LiveView Bus Locator and Alerts & Messaging features will be available. Estimated arrival times will be available in the app shortly thereafter. This serves as a tool to assist parents on pickup and dropoff times. Students should still be at the bus stop within 5 minutes of estimated pickup times.
If you have any questions about the signup process or use of the app, contact Safestop directly at 1-800-843-8936 or support@SafeStopApp.com.

My child goes to Stribling Elem and rides bus 27. We have recently moved to 123 Oak Grove in the Brock Elementary area. What bus will my child ride now and where is the stop?
A: If you move out of an attendance zone and choose to remain at the current campus, no transportation is available. However, if you move and are still eligible for transportation services at the new campus, we receive an update on your address from the district in the Skyward system. At this point, a new driver will call you with new information on Bus numbers, stops, and times.
Why does my child have to walk down to a bus stop when you pass right by my house?
